CM - Awana - Administrative - The Administrative Team Member greets families as they check-in at the Sparks and T&T spaces and encourages children as they work through their handbooks through inputting their accomplishments into the Awana database and the handing out of awards.
CM - Awana - Games Director - The Games Director builds relationships with Sparks and T&T children through play! They encourage team building and support for one another through enthusiasm and excitement around physical activities.
CM - Awana - Large Group Teacher - The Large Group Teacher hosts and facilitates the large group portion of a child’s learning. They present Bible stories in a creative, interactive, and meaningful way so that it captures the attention of every child. Large group sessions are broken down by age, and Awana Large Group Teachers can present for our Puggles & Cubbies (3 – 4 Year olds), Sparks (Kindergarten to Grade 2), T&T (Grade 3 to 6), and Trek & Journey (Grade 7 to 12) classes.
CM - Awana - Hospitality - The Hospitality Team Member greets families as they enter Awana and guides them through the process of check-in, finding their rooms, and check-out. They also provide security for the Awana space.
CM - Awana - Infants/Toddlers Leader - The Infants/Toddlers Leader builds relationships with infants and toddlers through play. They show children how much God loves them.
CM - Awana - Puggles/Cubbies Group Leader - The Puggles/Cubbies Group Leader builds relationships with preschool children through play, worship, and large and small group activities. They help children realize how much God loves them and wants to be their forever friend.
CM - Awana - Sparks/T&T/Trek/ Journey Group Leader - A Group Leader cares for an assigned small group of children. They play, experience the story, and worship together with their group. Then in a small group setting, they listen to the children’s verses that they are working through in their handbooks, they apply the lessons.
CM - Guest Services – The CM Guest Service team are the first Children’s volunteers our families will meet. The team is responsible for checking families in, taking new families through the Children’s areas, and providing security and support for the ministry.
CM - Coach - The Coach provides leadership, encouragement, and support to a team of leaders as they lead their small groups. They connect with their volunteer team on a regular basis to update schedules and to provide information and curriculum. They also walk alongside and pray for their team.
CM - Group Leader – The Group Leader works with a specific number of children for the service. They lead their children through crafts, games, and scripture reading. During the large group portion of the service, they hear the Bible story alongside their group and help them to understand through small group discussion what God is saying to them and how the lesson can be applied to their own lives today.
CM - Room Leader – Room Leaders are responsible for the other volunteers in their classroom, and direct the group through each activity for the service. They may be responsible for checking their children into the room and helping welcome them into the space. Our Room Leaders ensure each service experience is the best one possible for both volunteers and children alike.
CM - Worship Leader - The Worship Leader is part of our large group lesson volunteer team, and leads children into a time of fun, meaningful, heartfelt worship of God with songs and engaging actions.
CM - Storyteller – Storytellers are large group lesson volunteers who bring the Bible to life for our kids each weekend. They teach the lesson on the stage and help kids to engage in God’s word.
CM – Emcee – Our emcee volunteers work on our large group lesson team and lead welcoming games, introduce the worship leaders and storytellers, and help set the stage for large group time.
CM - Tech Team Member - The CM Tech. Team Member is responsible for the technical components of the Large Group teaching. This includes running a small sound board, PowerPoint, video, and an iPod.
CM - Core Services Prep Team Member – Our Core Services prep team meets each Thursday to count, cut, sort, color, and organize weekend materials for the coming services. While they do not work with our children directly, our Children’s Ministry could not run without the hard work of this team.
CM – Creative Design & Event Support – This team works to bring our weekend lessons and yearly events to life. The Design & Support volunteer will help build sets and props for weekends, using talents for carpentry, arts, and crafts. They also help prepare for events by setting up décor and organizing materials.
