Position Summary:
The Facilities & Grounds Team at CSC hosts several “Work Bee” serving opportunities throughout the year where people come together to tackle a specific goal. Whether you want to learn new skills like carpentry and landscaping or simply enjoy a day of physical activity with a community of friends, there is a place for you. Work Bees are open to everyone, regardless of skill level. It's a great way to offer your gifts, enjoy some great food, and make new connections while caring for our church home.
Ministry Vision:
Facilities & Grounds ministry empowers our congregation to use their practical talents to create a safe, welcoming experience for all. We are more than a maintenance team; we are a spiritual family dedicated to supporting CSC’s mission of introducing people to Jesus through excellence in stewardship and community.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Spring & Fall Grounds Support: Campus-specific team for a seasonal property cleanup
- Spring Planting: Help beautify our exterior spaces with fresh flowers and greenery
- Landscaping & Maintenance: General outdoor projects to keep our grounds welcoming and safe
- Seasonal Refresh: Support our Spring and Fall interior cleaning days to keep our facilities mission-ready
- Detailed Care: Help with deep-cleaning walls, fixtures, and interior/exterior windows
- Floor Restoration: Assist with specialized carpet and floor cleaning projects
- Campus specific work Bees: Participate in unique projects tailored to the needs of your local campus
- Moving Days: Provide the muscle and coordination needed to transition furniture and equipment between spaces or locations
Time Commitment:
- Work Bees could be as little as 3 hours, 1 day or over a weekend, project dependent
- Daytime, evenings or weekends as your schedule permits
