Position Summary:

As a Ministry Event Support Steward, you do more than move furniture—you set the stage for life-change. By expertly preparing and resetting our spaces, you ensure every ministry has the environment it needs to thrive and reach people effectively.

Ministry Vision:

Facilities & Grounds ministry empowers our congregation to use their practical talents to create a safe, welcoming experience for all. We are more than a maintenance team; we are a spiritual family dedicated to supporting CSC’s mission of introducing people to Jesus through excellence in stewardship and community.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Space Preparation: Set up chairs, tables, and necessary equipment to create functional, welcoming environments for upcoming events.
• Operational Reset: Perform post-event resets to return multipurpose areas to their standard settings, ensuring the facility is ready for the next ministry and all furniture is returned to default locations.
• Collaborative Service: Partner with our custodial staff and fellow volunteers to maintain a high standard of stewardship for our building.
• Targeted Ministries: Support Children's, 55+, or Women's ministries, or assist with significant life events like funerals and weddings.
• Core Facility Support: Assist with resetting the Café, Atrium, and Worship Centre immediately following services.
• Special Events: Provide logistical support for large-scale gatherings, including conferences and missional outreach events.

Time Commitment:

• 2-3 hours per week
• Daytime, evenings or weekends as your schedule permits

Qualifications:

• Physically able to move, push or carry heavy items
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team
