Position Summary:

The Grounds Handyman supports our Grounds team by helping with various outside tasks and projects throughout the year and ensuring our CSC properties are well maintained and safe.

Facilities & Grounds ministry empowers our congregation to use their practical talents to create a safe, welcoming experience for all. We are more than a maintenance team; we are a spiritual family dedicated to supporting CSC’s mission of introducing people to Jesus through excellence in stewardship and community.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• General grounds construction
• General equipment maintenance
• Special projects
• Sign and fence repairs
• Irrigation repairs
• Seasonal work bees

Time Commitment:

• 2-3 hours per week, project and schedule dependent
• Daytime, evenings or weekends as your schedule permits

Qualifications:

• Mechanically inclined
• General knowledge of basic maintenance (professional experience an asset)
• Ability to safely use hand tools and small power tools
• Good problem solving, skills and attention to detail
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or with a team
• Respectful, service-oriented attitude
