Position Summary:

Come join us once a month on a Friday night and lead a group of Grade 5 & 6’s as they fellowship with one another! Event Leaders engage, encourage, and mentor students during fun activities either off-site or at Central Campus. This team is responsible for the set-up and tear-down of events as well as facilitation of activities and food service.

Ministry Vision:

Grade 5/6 Ministry exists to see students find a place to belong through building life-giving relationships with other students, their leaders, and with God. These relationships are so important, and our prayer is they will begin in Grade 5&6 and continue on in Youth Ministries. We exist to introduce students to Jesus, love Him deeply, grow in God’s truth, discover their unique purpose, belong to His church, and step confidently into making a difference in the world around them.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Participates in event activities and engages with students.
• Facilitate fun activities using provided materials and instructions.
• Assist with set-up and tear-down of the event.
• Serve a snack at the end of the night.
• Connect relationally with students, and families.
• Attends all Grade 5 & 6 training & large group community activities.

Time Commitment:

• Friday Night Event (1 time per month, 3 hour commitment. Arrive 1 hour before event starts)
• Training Events (1-2 per year)

Qualifications:

• Understanding of, and agreement with, CSC Statement of Faith, Mission and Pursuits
• Spiritual gifts of leadership, and shepherding
• Strong relational, communication, mentoring, and listening skills
