Position Summary:

If you love to meet people or have a heart for safety, consider our Grade 5&6 Guest Service team! Our volunteers help greet families, register and check in them in, and also act as guides for all our first-time families. The team provides direction and security for our students during weekend ministry.

Ministry Vision:

Grade 5/6 Ministry exists to see students find a place to belong through building life-giving relationships with other students, their leaders, and with God. These relationships are so important, and our prayer is they will begin in Grade 5&6 and continue on in Youth Ministries. We exist to introduce students to Jesus, love Him deeply, grow in God’s truth, discover their unique purpose, belong to His church, and step confidently into making a difference in the world around them.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Register, check-in, and welcome families.
• Take attendance of students as they enter the Grade 5&6 space.
• Attend all Grade 5 & 6 training & large group community activities.
• Connect relationally with students, and families.

Time Commitment:

• Weekend Services (1-2 times per month)
• 2-hour commitment during the service or 45 minutes before and after the service
• Training Events (1-2 per year)

Qualifications:

• Understanding of, and agreement with, CSC Statement of Faith, Mission and Pursuits
• Spiritual gifts of hospitality and service
• Strong relational, communication, and organizational skills
