Position Summary:

Come join us on the weekends and lead a small group of Grade 5 & 6’s as they learn about God’s Word! Group Leaders guide students through their activities, discussion times, and prayer time each weekend. In addition, they help them build community and solid faith foundations. All materials and curriculum are provided to you!

Ministry Vision:

Grade 5/6 Ministry exists to see students find a place to belong through building life-giving relationships with other students, their leaders, and with God. These relationships are so important, and our prayer is they will begin in Grade 5&6 and continue on in Youth Ministries. We exist to introduce students to Jesus, love Him deeply, grow in God’s truth, discover their unique purpose, belong to His church, and step confidently into making a difference in the world around them.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Prepare for and lead a group of Grade 5&6 students using curriculum provided
• Connect relationally with students under their care.
• Attend Grade 5 & 6 training & large group community activities

Time Commitment:

• Weekend Services (1-2 times per month)
• Friday Night Event (1 time per month)
• Retreats (2 per year)
• Training Events (1-2 per year)

Qualifications:

• Understanding of, and agreement with, CSC Statement of Faith, Mission and Pursuits
• Spiritual gifts of leadership, and shepherding.
• Strong relational, communication, mentoring, and listening skills
