Position Summary:

As the Check-In / Security volunteer, you play a key role in creating a safe and welcoming environment for every child and youth who enters our ministry space. You are the first point of contact for our families, helping ensure that each child is accounted for and paired with the right buddy. Because our class ratios are smaller and more individualized, attention to detail is essential. You are also responsible for managing the safe and intentional movement of children in and out of classrooms, whether they're heading to the sensory room, washroom, or returning to their classroom. You help maintain a calm, structured flow throughout the morning, ensuring that every child is cared for and every volunteer feels supported. Your presence helps set the tone for safety, belonging, and trust. You will be contributing strongly to our goal of making the gospel accessible for everyone.

Our mission is to introduce people to Jesus and help them become fully devoted followers of Him. We do this by discipling, equipping, and investing in children, youth, and adults with disabilities-as well as their parents, support workers, and our volunteers. Through both inclusive and specialized environments, we aim to support the broader church community in making the gospel accessible to everyone. By bridging the gap between the church and the disability community, we strive to foster inclusion, understanding, and spiritual growth for all.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Show Jesus' love to participants
• Build relationships with participants, parents and other volunteers
• Check in all of the kids and volunteers
• Safety and security of the Disability Ministry space
• Have fun!

Time Commitment:

• Once per weekend or biweekly, on Sunday mornings during the 9:00am or 11:00am services.
