Position Summary:

Our Awana program runs each week on Thursday nights. Come join us in meaningful discipleship of children! Small groups will discuss memory verses, go through activities, complete work books, and build community together. Our large group leaders engage children in live Bible stories, worship songs, and lead large group games and activities. And our Guest Service Team provides safety, direction, and various support to the overall program. There are all sorts of volunteer roles in Awana! If you have a heart for deeper discipleship for children, we would love to have you join us! Our ages range from infancy to 17 years old.

Ministry Vision:

Children's Ministries exists to partner with parents and families to help children hear the voice of God, so that in His timing they can respond to Him and become fully devoted followers of Christ.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Care of children
  • Leading small groups
  • Organizing supplies

Time Commitment:

  • 3 hours Thursday nights from September to May.

Qualifications:

  • Friendly
  • Patient
  • Strong communicator

Volunteer Benefits:

Volunteers will have the chance to connect as a community and go deeper into God's word as they help children learn to hear the voice of God. Families will have the opportunity to connect to other families in similar stages of life.

Children’s Ministries volunteers must be Grade 7 or older
