Position Summary:
GMT team members will serve on short term trips by engaging, encouraging and enhancing the ministries of our Global Workers, Church Partners and Associate Agencies. GMT teams may serve locally, nationally or internationally ranging from outreach and ministry activities to responding to practical physical needs in the community as requested by the in-country host.
Ministry Vision:
Global Missions exists to introduce people to Jesus and help our congregation to become fully devoted followers of Jesus around the world. We do this PRIMARILY THROUGH THE LOCAL CHURCH; locally, nationally and internationally.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- In line with the partners' ministry focus, a broad range of duties for trips could include encouragement and prayer, physical tasks, teaching, children and youth ministries and community engagement
- Team members are required to attend pre-trip training and work in a team environment under CSC leadership
- Team members are required to raise ministry and personal expenses
Time Commitment:
- Pre-trip preparation and training 16 to 20 hours; trips last 7 to 17 days; 8 hours post-trip debriefing
Qualifications:
- Growing Christ Follower
- Able to work with others in a team environment
- Flexibility and cultural sensitivity
- Previous ministry experience and current volunteer engagement
- Regular in-person attendance at CSC a campus
