Position Summary:
As a We-Serve Leader in our Community Connections program, you will guide a small group of adults with disabilities in completing volunteer tasks around the church during our midweek program. You’ll model and encourage teamwork, help participants learn new skills, and ensure each person feels valued in their service. This role involves giving simple instructions, providing hands-on support when needed, and celebrating the group’s contributions as they serve together.
Ministry Vision:
Our mission is to introduce people to Jesus and help them become fully devoted followers of Him. We do this by discipling, equipping, and investing in children, youth, and adults with disabilities—as well as their parents, support workers, and our volunteers. Through both inclusive and specialized environments, we aim to support the broader church community in making the gospel accessible to everyone. By bridging the gap between the church and the disability community, we strive to foster inclusion, understanding, and spiritual growth for all.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Show Jesus’ love to participants
- Support participants in small group settings
- Build relationships with participants, and support workers
- May include sharing prepared devotionals
- Communicate regularly with the Disability Ministry team
- Have fun!
Time Commitment:
- Once per week on Tuesday morning
