Position Summary:

As the Community Connections Check-In/ Security, you're the first face participants and support workers see when they arrive. Your warm smile and friendly create a space where everyone feels safe, seen, and valued. You’ll greet each person as they come in, check them off on the attendance list, and make sure each participant and their assigned worker for the day are up to date in our records. Since our church building is open to the public during the week, you also help us create a safe environment by ensuring that everyone present in the Disability Ministry space during programming is part of our ministry and accounted for. Your calm and attentive presence helps make our space feel welcoming, secure, and well-organized for all.

Ministry Vision:

Our mission is to introduce people to Jesus and help them become fully devoted followers of Him. We do this by discipling, equipping, and investing in children, youth, and adults with disabilities—as well as their parents, support workers, and our volunteers. Through both inclusive and specialized environments, we aim to support the broader church community in making the gospel accessible to everyone. By bridging the gap between the church and the disability community, we strive to foster inclusion, understanding, and spiritual growth for all.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Show Jesus' love to participants
• Build relationships with participants, support workers and other volunteers
• Check in of everyone attending community connections
• Safety & security of the Disability Ministry space
• Have fun!

Time Commitment:

• Once per week on Tuesday or Wednesday during the day
