Position Summary:
Friendly hosts help and encourage our congregation to participate in the Operation Christmas Child shoebox project from mid-October through mid-December. At CSC we partner with Operation Christmas Child to provide filled shoe boxes for children around the world.
Ministry Vision:
Global Missions exists to introduce people to Jesus and help our congregation become fully devoted followers of Jesus around the world. We do this PRIMARILY THROUGH THE LOCAL CHURCH; locally, nationally and internationally.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Greet people and share the impact of the shoe box. Many children have come to know Jesus because they were invited to a discipleship class when they received their box
- Give practical information and clear instructions how to prepare a shoe box
- Complete tasks such as setting up the shoe box station with a table and boxes and labeling and packing boxes in crates when the boxes are returned
Time Commitment:
- Weekend services, Nov 1 - Dec 14
- Start 30 minutes before a weekend service and return to serve 45 minutes after the same service. (your presence is not required during the service)
