Position Summary:

As a Video Editor, you’ll help tell the story of what God is doing at CSC by shaping meaningful moments from services, events, and ministry programs into impactful videos. Through creative editing, you’ll share the life and mission of our church in a powerful and engaging way.

Ministry Vision:

Communications Ministry exist to capture the life of our church and all that God is doing in and through it. Through photography, videography and other related multimedia skills, we want to glorify Christ and share Jesus with others. We are a community that embodies discipleship all while growing in our skills and relationship with God and each other.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Edit video footage from church services, events, and ministry activities to create engaging, high-quality content
• Organize files, synchronize audio, incorporate graphics, and apply color correction
• Export videos in appropriate formats while adhering to deadlines
• Collaborate effectively with the media team and ministry leaders
• Ensure all content aligns with CSC's mission, values, branding, and styles.

Time Commitment:

This is a flexible, project-based volunteer role, typically requiring a few hours each week depending on project demands and deadlines. Volunteers should be able to manage their schedule to meet agreed-upon deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Video editing experience and portfolio required
• Own editing computer required
• Proficient in editing software (eg. Final Cut, Premiere Pro, DaVinci, CapCut)
• Strong storytelling and technical skills (audio sync, graphics, colour, export)
• Reliable, collaborative, meets deadlines, and able to take feedback
• Understands and aligns with CSC’s mission and values
