Position Summary:
As a Gardens & Grounds Steward, you play a vital role in maintaining the beauty and serenity of our outdoor spaces. You will help create an inviting, aesthetically pleasing environment that enhances the worship experience and leaves a lasting positive impression on every guest who visits CSC.

Facilities & Grounds ministry empowers our congregation to use their practical talents to create a safe, welcoming experience for all. We are more than a maintenance team; we are a spiritual family dedicated to supporting CSC’s mission of introducing people to Jesus through excellence in stewardship and community.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Seasonal Upkeep: Assist with planting flowers and shrubs to keep the grounds vibrant
- Landscape Maintenance: Perform weeding, trimming, and general care of lawns and garden beds
- Property Stewardship: Ensure all outdoor spaces are well-maintained and tidy throughout the growing season
Time Commitment:
- 2-3 hours per week
- Daytime, evenings or weekends as your schedule permits
- April to October
Qualifications:
- Ability to bend, lift and kneel
- Stamina to work outdoors for moderate periods of time
- Experience or knowledge of gardening practices
- Familiarity with hand tools and gardening equipment
- Willingness to learn new skills and techniques, and following instructions from supervisors or experienced volunteers
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
