Position Summary:

The CFTC Children’s Program Assistant demonstrates the love of God to pre-school children of participants in CFTC programs by providing a safe and welcoming environment for them so that their parents can learn new skills, develop relationships, and encounter the Gospel of Jesus.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Under direction of appointed leader, ensure children are safe at all times
• Build relationships with children and their parents, encouraging them and demonstrating a Christ-like attitude
• When appropriate, and in context of relationship, share the Gospel with gentleness, love and respect
• Pray for the children and their parents regularly

Qualifications

• Understanding of, and agreement with our Statement of Faith, Mission and Pursuits (as per cschurch.ca/aboutus)
• Spiritual Gifts(s) of Service, Mercy, Shepherding
• Love for children and desire to see them grow and experience Jesus’ love for them
• Christ-like love and respect for new immigrants/people of other faiths and cultures

Time Commitment:

• Weekly (9:20am-12:00pm), Monday, Tuesday or Thursday; occasional special events
