Position Summary:

Effective lighting ensures everyone attending a weekend service or service can clearly see those on stage, while ambient lighting helps reflect the experience in the room—especially in worship centers and auditoriums. Lighting is mostly seen as a technical position, and though it has many technical aspects to it, lighting is highly artistic.

Ministry Vision:

Technical Services exists to illuminate, magnify, and enhance all aspects of the CSC corporate worship service and ministry/group events, to help accomplish our mission of introducing people to Jesus and helping them to become fully devoted followers.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Pre-Service / Rehearsal

• Arrive at your pre-determined call time
• Review the Order of Service and worship set
• Attend the Production Meeting
• Prepare for the service by programming lighting cues or changes During Service
• Stay in position and remain focused, maintaining a posture of worship
• Create an inviting space for people to experience Jesus
• Follow all directions from the Worship Staff or the Tech staff

Time Commitment:

• Sundays: 6–7 hours, beginning at 7:00 AM and serving through teardown
• Saturdays: 6–7 hours, beginning at 12:30 PM through Sunday morning setup
• Attend Mid-Week rehearsals or special events
• Minimum: Once/Twice per month

Qualifications:

• Strong communicator and team player
• Reliable and punctual
• Calm under pressure and adaptable
• Willing to learn and take direction from others
• Prior knowledge in production lighting is preferred but is not essential
