Position Summary:

Respond to requests from communications team for writing stories for the website and social media. 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Respond to requests from communications team for writing stories for the website and social media.
• For personal interviews, make arrangements to meet with individual/family in person, using our template to engage in a sensitive and mindful manner with them. After the draft story is written, correspond with interviewee(s) to ensure that it accurately reflects their journey; edit then submit to managing editor via email.
• Availability to attend events and capture stories of attendees and follow up if required

Time Commitment:

• Minimum 3 stories per year

• Understanding of, and agreement with, CSC Statement of Faith, Our Guiding Principles
• Spiritual gift of serving
• Creative, good listener, mindful, socially sensitive and humble
• Communicates succinctly and in a way that glorifies God
• Experience with writing and ability to honour people’s stories and experiences.
