The Baking Class Assistant provides support to the leader in a two hour baking class with the goal of helping immigrants learn to bake in their homes. The type of baking is flexible but could include cookies, muffins, breads, international baking, etc. depending on volunteer and student interests, as well as topics such as healthy baking choices and wise purchasing. 

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with teaching participants baking techniques
  
• Assist with set-up and cleanup of kitchen
• Assist with class attendance & registration processes
• Pray for and seek opportunities to build friendships and share spiritual conversations

Qualifications

• Understanding of, and agreement with CSC Statement of Faith, Mission and Pursuits (as per cschurch.ca/aboutus)
• Spiritual Gift(s) of Teaching, Service and Hospitality
• Able to observe and manage healthy group dynamics and resolve conflicts
• Christ-like love and respect for new immigrants / people of other faiths and cultures
