The NCFC ESL Teacher leads classes at NCFC to provide quality English Language instruction, with a focus on developing relationships and creating a safe and welcoming community for people of all faiths and cultures.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Plan lessons and prepare materials for classes from a Christian worldview, out of a personal relationship with Jesus
  
• Develop caring, Christ-like relationships with students and pray for them regularly
• Follow up with students when classes are missed
• Be faithful in attendance and give advance notice to ESL Coordinator when absence is required
• Manage emergencies and report to staff; share “God-Stories” and prayer needs with staff
• Attend all training sessions if possible 

Qualifications

• Understanding of, and agreement with our Statement of Faith, Principles & Beliefs
  
• Christ-like love and respect for new immigrants/people of other faiths and cultures
• TESL Certification or Education background is an asset
• Prior immigrant serving experience is an asset
