There Is Love Church Nova - Kakhovka, Ukraine
Pastor Yevhen serves as both the pastor of a church and as the executive pastor of the Baptist Union in the Kherson region. In the proximity of fierce military battles, Pastor Yevhen and his team are on the road almost every day visiting people and encouraging them. They share God’s Word and bring critical supplies to meet daily needs. Pastor Yevhen reports… “We see how this ministry brings tears to people’s eyes, we see their hearts soften, and how they cling to the hope we bring in Christ.”
The church is distributing food, medicine, household chemicals, water purifiers, gas stoves, clothing and much more. Some of the most impactful ministry right now is happening in the summer camps they are running. These camps are right where houses are being destroyed daily and where kids are wounded when they find an unexploded mine or grenade. Despite the danger, about 500 kids attended the camps in 2023 and were blessed with time outdoors, games, sweets, laughter, school supplies, and the chance to talk about something other than tanks and shelling.
Please pray that God will grant wisdom and resources for the camps to continue. Pray that the church will continue to proclaim God’s truth in love. Pray this church will be instrumental in bringing God’s comfort to people suffering from the war (and that God will grant peace and victory to Ukraine).
