During this Christmas season, there are 2 practical ways to help those facing challenging circumstances: pack and deliver Christmas Hamper or pack an Operation Christmas Child shoebox!
Each year we support hundreds of households during the holiday season with Christmas Hampers. Adopting a family or individual this Christmas is a great opportunity to live on mission with your family or community group. Ask your family, friends, community group or missional community to join you. Pray about how many hampers God is inviting you to adopt. A hamper typically costs between $150-200 (please note we are not able to issue tax receipts*) and you will deliver the hamper directly to the recipient.
To become a hamper sponsor, visit here or go to the Atrium at your campus and speak to a volunteer. We will then match you with a recipient household and you will receive an email with all the details to provide the hamper. You will then contact the recipient so you can arrange the delivery of it during December 21-23. Lastly, if you want to become a recipient of a hamper please send an email to hampers@cschurch.ca.
Another way to be the hands and feet of Jesus to others around us is to pack an Operation Christmas Child shoebox! This program seeks to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need around the world. Pick up your shoebox and brochure - which contains all the information about this program - at your local campus. Please deliver your shoebox at your local campus by the December 14-15 weekend service.
Our heart is to be in the community and for the community, and these are practical ways to live out our faith. As a church, we want to be able to help as many people as we can this coming Christmas season.
