Volunteering

Volunteer with us at CSCamps and experience a week of fun and learning! Adult volunteers (18 years or older) serving the week of camp will receive a discount for their children and can register up to 4 campers at this lower price. All volunteers must be available for the full week of camp to qualify for this discount.
Adults may apply to serve starting on March 1st, 2025.

Student and Junior volunteers (Grades 7 through 12) are welcome to serve! Spots are limited, however, and not all volunteer applicants can be accepted. Please see requirements below before applying.

We prep for CSCamps from June to July and aim to bring our theme to life with large scale sets and environmental décor. If you are skilled in carpentry, painting, counting/sorting/sewing, or arts & crafts, we would love to have you join us!

VOLUNTEER SCHEDULES

We offer half day and full day volunteer schedules at CSCamps!

Half Day – Morning: 8:00am to 12:15pm

Half Day – Afternoon: 12:00pm to 4:30pm

Full Day – 8:00am to 4:30pm

VOLUNTEER ROLES

Crew Leader

Crews are made of 5-6 kids and travel from station to station each morning in Teams of 10 crews. Each Crew has a Crew Leader who learns alongside our campers in each station and experiences all of CSCamps as they help guide our campers through it all!

Field Trip Leader

Join us in the afternoons for field trips as we take our campers off site to some amazing activities! You will lead a group of 6 as we go bowling, laser tagging, trampolining, and more!

Security/Guest Services

Have a heart for safety and meeting new people? Our security and guest service team help keep our campers safe and on track, and help welcome and direct our families in the morning and afternoon.

Preschool Leader

Morning preschool camp is offered only to children of morning & full day volunteers, and we need leaders! Help run the mini-camp activities and stations we make for our 3 to 5 year olds!

Float Leaders

Want to crew lead? Field trip lead? Try security? Float leaders do it all! As our substitutes, Float volunteers will jump into a new role each day to help cover any empty roles from unexpected absences. This a great role for volunteers who enjoy flexing and want something new every day!

Prep Team

If you are good with a hammer, a saw, or a paintbrush, or if you have capacity to shop for bulk materials, we would love to have you join our CSCamps prep team! This role operates in the evenings of June and July and work directly under our CSCamps Director to help bring CSCamps to life.

(This role is not eligible for the camper discount ticket.)

FAQ

CSCamps is for children who are going into grades 1 – 6 as of September 2024. Children must have completed Kindergarten to participate. Preschool Camp (birth –K) will be available in the morning only for children of parents who are volunteering in our grade school camp.

Small groups of children, along with their leaders, will spend the morning together doing all kinds of fun activities including: games, science, worship, and live stories! In the afternoon, we will go offsite to locations like Flying Squirrel, Bowling, and more!

No, please send a bag lunch with your child that is nut/peanut free. Please write your child’s first and last name on all their bags and backpacks. We do not have access to microwaves or refrigerators.

We do! Our registration form has a section for you to give us details on your child’s allergies and special needs, and after you register, we will contact you to discuss how to give your child the best experience possible. Parents/guardians must provide their own aide should their child need one.

We would also like to let parents know of our Disabilities Ministries VBS that runs the week after CSCamps! They use the same curriculum and materials to create a fun week for children who may need more support in a day-camp environment. For more information, email us at special.needs@cschurch.ca

The registration fee is processed when you register your child using the online form and credit card payment.

The registration fee includes morning snacks, activity supplies, camp t-shirt, field trip admissions, transportation to locations, and afternoon snacks.

CSCamps will offer full refunds until April 30th. Afterwards, only partial refunds will be available as we purchase items and make deposits.

Refunds will not be available after June 30th.

We have scholarship money donated to assist children in attending our Day Camp/VBS. In order to be good stewards of the money that is given, we will prayerfully evaluate all requests for scholarships, and all scholarships will be partial.

There are limited scholarships so they will be given on a first-come, first-served, basis. If you are interested in CSCamps scholarships, please email complete the form below.
