Love. Support. Encourage.

Centre For the City by Centre Street Church seeks to love, support, and encourage individuals experiencing challenging circumstances in the city of Calgary. We are inspired and strengthened by the ministry of Jesus Christ who invites us to love our neighbor as we love ourselves.

In partnership with other agencies, we walk alongside our under-resourced neighbours—regardless of their beliefs, race, and gender— by helping them to meet their spiritual and physical needs. Rooted in God’s grace, we can transform our city, build a brighter future for our nation, and unite our communities around His love for us.

Monday Night Evangelism

We meet to worship, pray, then hit the streets with the best news on the planet, the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

This is an exciting ministry where the power of God continues to impact lives, just like in the book of Acts. We currently have people from 30 different churches joining us. We truly are the body of Christ and love our brothers and sisters in Christ from all biblically rooted denominations!

Current Locations Every Monday includes:

Drop In Centre

We set up outside the Drop-In Centre offering food, drinks, have team members sing, pray over people, and get into spiritual conversations.

C Train Station

Come get into spiritual conversations with Calgarians.

Prairie Winds Park

We engage with individuals of other faiths by having spiritual conversations, praying for people, and sharing the love of Jesus!

Peter Lougheed Hospital

We love to bless, encourage, pray for, and share about Jesus to those finding themselves at the hospital. We honor, love, and share hope to those we engage with.

Sidewalk Church

Evangelizing to the homeless, street people, those in downtown condos, low-income housing and any individuals in the downtown area. We have individuals sing, preach/speak, hand out food and drinks, engage in conversation and pray for people!

Treasure Hunters

We have team members drive in vans together around downtown Calgary finding those in alleys, under staircases, parking lots and garbage dumpsters. They hand out food and drinks, engage in spiritual conversation and pray for people. This demographic of people have many addictions and needs.

Youth Unlimited Street Light Bus

This is a location where we partner with the Youth Unlimited staff to minister to vulnerable youth ages 12-18 in the Forest Lawn area of Calgary. We meet at the Street Light bus and engage in spiritual conversations and support with youth!
