Technical Services
Roles
Camera Operator - Provides the video footage for everything that is seen on the stage. We capture this footage for two reasons. The first is to allow people in the back of the room to better see what is happening on stage and connect to the service. The second is to allow a person that is not in the room to get a sense of what is happening throughout the service. Learn more.
Graphics Operator - Provides all of the words and images that are seen on the screen through two different computer programs. Learn more.
Shader - Controls the Iris on all of our cameras to keep the brightness of each camera balanced and consistent. This creates an image on the screens that is pleasing to the eye allowing the audience to focus on the message. Learn more.
Lighting Operator - Creates an atmosphere that helps others engage in the service by setting the lighting levels and colors, creating a cue list before the weekend service run-through, and making adjustments when needed. This individual follows the live worship service to ensure the highest quality production. Learn more.
Video Assistant Director - Reads the script to the Director so the Director knows what elements to have the team ready for. This allows the team to create an experience for the audience that is well planned and intentionally thought out rather than reacting to the events on stage as they happen.
Switcher (Technical Director) - To help create the service by operating the equipment that controls all of the different inputs based on the Director’s instruction. Learn more.
Video Director - Brings together a team to create the video stream that is viewed from all of our campuses and online. The Director is also responsible for partnering with the Live Video Team Leader to grow and encourage both themselves and the team technically and spiritually.
