Experiencing God (Henry Blackaby)

When you open this book, you’ll find that you aren’t just reading. No, you are being remade, reoriented, restored from the frustration of what you may have known as stale religion. Captured not by a concept but by your Creator, reborn in relationship.

Here’s the Experiencing God that has already impacted millions of people. Only it’s bigger, and better, and ready to lead you again―or for the very first time―into an experience with God. Carefully listening to His voice will anchor you in His plan and set you free to live it with boldness and freedom.

Resource needed: Experiencing God Workbook (not the book) Approximately $24.00

Facilitators: Karen Hartung & Phyllis Jenden

The Awe of God: The Astounding Way a Healthy Fear of God Transforms Your Life (John Bevere)

Do you long for an intimate relationship with your Creator, but He seems elusive? Perhaps it is because something utterly essential is missing—the fear of the Lord. Don't let this frighten you. Fearing God is very different than being afraid of God. It's the key to everything.

Holy Fear is not a topic you'll hear much about these days. But if you want to build a faith that stands strong through troubled times, you cannot afford to ignore how it is to work out your salvation with fear and trembling. This healthy, holy and largely forgotten virtue in the uncommon path to a more fulfilled and fruitful like. Come and see!

Resources needed: Book approximately $25.00 on Amazon.ca.

Facilitator: Kathy Miller

Room: Multipurpose Room A

Note that this group will meet on Thursday afternoons from 1:00-3:00pm with no Children’s ministry available. They will gather for our brunches at Christmas and year end in the morning.

Quiet time with the Father

This small group offers solitude time before God – a morning to perhaps engage in Scripture reading and meditation/memorization, or journaling or spending time in prayer or really being able to engage in an ongoing study or whatever your soul needs. A quiet time in the middle of a busy life.

The group will also come together after the solitude time to share what God is revealing in their quiet time and then uplifting each other in prayer.

Inductive Bible Study of Ephesians

Inductive Bible study is a method of studying the Bible that allows you to discover for yourself what Scripture says, what it means, and how to apply its truths to your life.

discovering truth for yourself is essential to knowing God deeply and living differently. With the right Bible study tools, instead of being told what the Bible says or what to believe, you’ll know what Scripture says—no matter what book of the Bible you’re in! And you will know that you know!

Inductive Bible study involves three components, which often overlap in practice: observation, interpretation, and application.

The main goal of the inductive Bible study method is to draw you into personal interaction with the Bible and thus with the God of the Bible! By knowing God through knowing His Word—and
