For over 20 years, I have been a part of the Bible Translation movement with Wycliffe Bible Translators of Canada. For over 12 years, I was the Jill of all trades in the national office in Calgary. I liked to think of myself as being hands and feet in the body of Christ serving people overseas through my service in the mailroom as well as the other tasks that helped the office to function well. Part of that service including maintaining the small garden and providing bedding plants to colleagues for a small fee. My hospitality was well known by many and that has continued when God transplanted me in Cameroon Africa. I now serve SIL Cameroon as the Scripture Engagement Coordinator and Director of the Scripture Engagement Training Course. It gives me great joy to see my colleagues and students immerse themselves in Scriptures translated into their language and to share what they have learned with others. God’s written story is finished but we all have a part to play in God’s story that continues to be written in people’s hearts and lives.
