Bytown Community Church - Gloucester Ontario
Dan and Melody both have backgrounds in campus ministry. Through these past experiences they have strong partnerships with U. Ottawa and Carleton University. Bytown Community Church meets between both universities and the fastest growing demographic in the church is students. They also bring a strong commitment to mission and are actively involved in their neighbourhood and city, seeking to build relationships for the sake of the Kingdom.
Bytown Community Church meets near both of the university campuses in central Ottawa. Most of the year services are held in the Glebe which is a wealthy urban neighbourhood with a high value on education. Many of the residents have PhDs or Master degrees. In addition, many of the residents (particularly younger ones) are not involved in faith communities. The society as a whole feels post-Christian.
