History:
We've been serving our community for almost 40 years, and we are proud of our history and grateful for those who came before us. Our ability to embrace growth and change has allowed us to thrive, even during financial downturns and even a pandemic. Barriers became opportunities. Challenges became incentives.
Why rebrand:
We’re not changing who we are or what we do. Our core mission and values remain the same, but our new name better reflects the breadth of the support we offer and all of whom we support. To some, our current name has become confusing. To others, it is a barrier. We are often mistaken for a medical clinic while others have a negative association with the name (see Wikipedia). And finally, the word pregnancy seems to limit the extent of who we can help. What we accomplish in our community is unique and important- so we needed a bigger name.
Our Purpose recognizes that Everyone has value and deserves support:
This purpose guides everything we do. It recognizes that everyone is worthy of dignity, respect, and compassion. We provide support to help people and families as they navigate new stages, challenges, and decisions during and after pregnancy. The support we provide can take many shapes: practical, emotional, relational, and spiritual. We offer community as we walk alongside our clients throughout their journey.
Meaning of our new name:
A mainspring is a vital component that reliably drives and sustains movement. Like the mainspring of a timepiece (or clock), it is an essential motivating force enabling movement to happen. Just as a mainspring ensures consistent and dependable motion, we aspire to be a reliable mainspring for our clients as they move forward to a stronger future. Whether this is through relieving short-term stress or helping them set long-term goals for a healthy future.
Meaning of our new logo:
The LOGO embodies our purpose statement, "Everyone has value and deserves support” in a visual and symbolic manner.
The use of small caps in our logo reflects our commitment to treating every individual with respect and as equals. It signifies our role as companions on their journey.
The “squiggly” line symbolizes unconditional support for our clients' unique journeys, which are filled with ups, downs, and unexpected turns. This line does not follow a straight path, representing the unpredictability of life. The choice of colors conveys specific emotions and values: trust, growth, hope, encouragement, agency, and strength.
